How Do Joint Health and Safety Units Work Fo Companies ?

30 Mart 2023

Occupational Health and Safety Units (OSGB) are private companies that provide health and safety services to reduce workplace risks.

Occupational Health and Safety Units (OHSUs) are private companies that provide services in the field of occupational health and safety. These units strive to reduce health and safety risks that may arise in the workplace by offering occupational health and safety services to the companies they work for. The working principle of OHSUs is as follows:

  1. Risk Analysis: OHSUs first conduct a risk analysis to identify the risks in the workplace of the company they work for. This analysis evaluates many factors such as hazardous substances in the workplace, workplace layout, equipment usage, number of workers, and other factors related to the workplace.
  2. Occupational Health and Safety Plan: Based on the results of the risk analysis, OHSUs prepare an occupational health and safety plan. This plan includes measures to minimize workplace risks, training to be provided, occupational health and safety rules, and periodic inspections to be carried out in the workplace.
  3. Training and Consultancy: OHSUs provide training and consultancy services on occupational health and safety to the employees of the company they work for. They inform the workers about the risks in the workplace and teach them how to take the necessary precautions to work safely.
  4. Inspections: OHSUs conduct regular inspections of the workplaces of the companies they work for. These inspections check whether the occupational health and safety rules are being followed, whether workplace risks are under control, and whether employees have been informed about occupational health and safety.
  5. Reporting: OHSUs present the reports prepared based on the inspections to the management of the company they work for. These reports provide information about the status of workplace risks and indicate what needs to be done to reduce them.

By raising awareness about occupational health and safety in the workplace, OHSUs aim to minimize the risks that may arise in the workplace.
