WHAT DOES THE WORKPLACE DOCTOR DO?
The duty of the workplace physician is determined by the Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of the Occupational Physicians, but the duties specified in this regulation actually constitute a very small part of the work done by the doctor.
WORKPLACE PHYSICIAN
Guidance and counseling for employers on occupational health
Recruitment and return to work examinations and reports, Periodic health checks
Legal legislation follow-up and information
Reporting and archiving of work accidents and occupational diseases
Preparation of occupational health and safety annual work program
Providing occupational health and safety trainings
OTHER HEALTH PERSONNEL
Working in line with the instructions of the workplace physician, collecting data and keeping the necessary records
Assisting the physician during the physical examination performed by the workplace physician
Working with the workplace doctor from the organization and execution of first aid services
To take part in the health education of employees.
HEALTH SCREENING SERVICES
Lung X-ray (with status report by chest diseases specialist)
EKG (with status report by cardiologist)
(Odiometry) Hearing Test (with status report by KBBuzman)
(PFT) Pulmonary Function Test (with report by chest diseases specialist)
Eye examination (with a status report by an ophthalmologist)
Laboratory Tests / “Blood count (Hemogram), complete urinalysis, liver function tests (AST, ALT, GGT), kidney function tests (urea, creatinine), hepatitis B test (HBsAg and Anti HBs test), serological tests, urine/ lead,toluene, pheneol, vanil mandelic acid, hipuric acid etc. in the blood.
